Lilly Risch, EMDR Therapist Milwaukee

Meet Lilly - Owner & Therapist

I AM A THERAPIST, SOCIAL WORKER, WIFE, AND MOM

pronouns: she/her

I fell in love with EMDR therapy after experiencing the benefits through my own personal therapy journey.  EMDR helped me let go of the past and feel better internally. This made me want to help my clients in a deeper and more sustained way. Since receiving training in EMDR, my work as a therapist has been more fulfilling and meaningful to me.

My resume includes experience in therapeutic milieu in residential treatment centers, 7 years of medical social work experience at Childrenʼs Hospital Colorado, serving as a lead intake caseworker for sexual assault investigations and later Adoptions Supervisor with Human Services, and co-therapist for groups supporting child survivors of sexual abuse.

I have my License in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in Wisconsin and Colorado. I received my Level I and Level II training in EMDR in 2018 and I am EMDR Certified.  I am an EMDR Consultant-in-Training and offer EMDR Consulting and EMDR Groups. I live in Milwaukee with my wife and son. When I am not running a group practice and in the therapy chair, you may see me doing something outside, spending time with my family and traveling!

Josie Beck, Art Therapist Milwaukee

Meet Josie - Therapist

Congratulations on taking the first step in your healing journey! Finding a counselor can be an intimidating process, so I first want to applaud your efforts to make your mental health a priority. If you are reading this, you are looking for mental health support for yourself or someone else. As a psychotherapist-in-training and provisionally registered art therapist, I use art in sessions with clients who have experienced trauma, life adjustments, and various diagnoses. I have worked with children as young as one year and adults as old as 75+ years. I received my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in fine art from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and I recently graduated with my Master of Science in Art Therapy with an emphasis in Counseling from Mount Mary University in Milwaukee, WI.

My areas of focus and experience include working with children ages 5-17 and adults across the lifespan. I have special interest and experience working with perinatal mental health; As a part of my work with the Milwaukee Art Therapy Collective, I lead a 6-month-long open studio series in collaboration with Moms Mental Health Initiative to provide free therapeutic art-making opportunities to mothers who have experienced perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. This project culminated in a gallery exhibition that was featured on FOX6 WakeUp News in Milwaukee.

I believe that art is integral to my application of treatment for what an individual is thinking, feeling, and experiencing in their life. I am committed to providing art therapy services that are ethically sound, strength-based, and collaborative. While I have the knowledge to help you learn the skills necessary to handle life’s complexities, you are the expert about yourself. I am here to help with whatever concerns you may have and goals you want to achieve!

Meagan Langfield, Child Therapist Milwaukee

Meet Meagan - Child Therapist

I am a licensed professional counselor with over 8 years of specialized experience in infant and early childhood mental health. My journey began during my Master’s program at Marquette University, where I honed my skills in family mental health at the Behavior Clinic at Penfield Children’s Center, continuing at Children’s Wisconsin as a Child Therapist.

As an Infant Mental Health Endorsed-Clinical therapist, I am dedicated to supporting parents and caregivers through the unique challenges of raising young children. My approach emphasizes caregiver attachment and relationships to heal trauma, drawing from extensive training in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Early Pathways, and Theraplay.

I specialize in working with infants and young children up to age 6 who have experienced hardships such as the loss of a family member, ongoing stress at home, parent/caregiver separation, adoption/attachment trauma, NICU stays, or ongoing medical needs. Areas of interest of mine include working with caregivers around attachment to their children, emotional regulation, and difficult behaviors. I offer a range of therapeutic modalities, from parent-only sessions to dyadic sessions involving both parent and child, fostering emotional regulation and familial healing.

My practice integrates developmental theory, psychodynamic theory, attachment-based therapy, and trauma-focused therapy. Additionally, in some cases, I incorporate therapy dogs to address anxiety and dog phobias, enhancing therapeutic outcomes.

At the core of my practice is creating a non-judgmental and collaborative therapeutic space that prioritizes safety, growth, and positive change. I understand the challenges families face in finding appropriate support, especially with young children, and I am here to provide guidance and support throughout your journey.

Meet Rockney Hudson, LCSW

Hello, I’m Rockney Hudson, and I’m excited to be a part of your healing journey. With over a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, I specialize in empowering individuals, families, and communities through therapy. My approach combines client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to meet your unique needs and help you navigate challenges.

I’m passionate about trauma-informed care and use EMDR to help you move past traumatic events. My previous roles, including Program Manager at St. Charles Youth and Family Services and Care Coordinator at Alternative Psychological Consultations, have allowed me to work extensively with at-risk youth, individuals with mental health and substance abuse challenges, and victims of violence.

My therapy style is collaborative and supportive. I work with you to set practical goals, develop coping strategies, and create lasting change. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Sady, attending concerts, and working on cars and motorcycles. I’m looking forward to supporting you on your path to healing.

Meet Ashlea Kielar (she/her) - Therapist

I want to take a moment to acknowledge your bravery in making it to this stage of your journey. There is a good chance that you came across this page because you’re currently carrying something heavy. Maybe it's related to experiences you encountered long ago, or some more recent. It could be that you’ve noticed a change in your relationships or a loud inner-critic that seems to linger. Perhaps you feel disconnected from yourself and desire to feel more confident in all aspects of your life. You’re not alone.

As a licensed professional counselor in-training, I strive to offer a safe and supportive space for individuals to explore themselves and navigate the complex impact of trauma. I recently graduated with my Master of Science in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. For the past year, I have undergone training with the Aurora Healing Center, specializing in working with those from the Milwaukee community to overcome the impact of trauma related to sexual assault and domestic violence.

My approach is collaborative and rooted in the belief that everyone carries the inner strength to heal. I specialize in trauma and its expressions, including relational wounds, chronic self-doubt, and trouble with boundary setting. I am also passionate about supporting women through life transitions, identity exploration, and the challenges that come along with perfectionism. For those that may have explored talk-therapy in the past, and did not feel it was enough to get to the root of what you’ve been feeling, I offer Brainspotting as a part of my trauma-informed services. This intervention is a powerful, neuroscience-based technique that allows for us to access and process trauma stored deep within the brain and body. Together, we’ll work to process your story in order to explore who you are and who you wish to become.

After reading this, if you feel ready to begin your healing journey- or are curious about what it may look like- I would be honored to walk beside you as we tackle the goals you bring to this space. You deserve to feel whole, worthy, and empowered to live authentically without the weight of the past holding you down.

Therapy is a very personal process, and finding a therapist who is a good fit is essential.

We provide a judgment-free, supportive space, where you are the most important person in the room.
